TO HAVE A MRI EXAMINATION

There are two MRI units in our hospital

PHILIPS ACS-NT

Gyroscan ACS-NT 1.5 Tesla is a high magnetic field scanner, which consists of a super-conductive magnet. It was introduced from Holland's Philips Company in year 1994. The gradient strength has been upgraded in year 1999 for fast imaging purpose. Our Philips machine can perform an efficient MR imaging of internal organ such as head, neck, body, spine, vessel, limb and joint in detail. In addition, we also have advance imaging package such diffusion scan for acute cerebral infarct, perfusion scan for relative cerebral blood volume, Blood Oxygen Level Depended (BOLD) imaging for brain functional area localization. In the chemical metabolite analysis aspect, we have proton and phorsphous (P-31) MR spectroscopy and chemical shift imaging for the metabolite distribution.

SIEMENS SONATA

Siemens Sonata 1.5 Tesla is high magnetic field scanner, which consists of a super-conductive magent. It was introduced from Germany's Siemns company in year 2000. Our Siemens machine can perform an efficient MR imaging of internal organ such as head, neck, body, spine, vessel, limb and joint in detail. In addition, the hardware and software is especially designed for cardiac morphorlogical and functional study. The famous true FISP sequence (imaging technique) in conjunction of special vessel tracing technique, which can even delineate coronary artery without any intravenous injection of contrast medium. In the angiographic aspect, we also have a special design coils and moving table technique for panoramic imaging of long lower limb vessels.
