Our department, under the medical faculty of the CUHK, participates actively in both teaching and cutting edge research with emphasis on both basic science and clinical application of new knowledge. Radiology is very much a multi-disciplinary medical speciality and our department plays a central role in bringing together scientists from various fields of medicine to apply advanced imaging tools to gain deeper understand of disease processes and to better serve our patients. To fulfil this aim, our department is equipped with the latest imaging equipment such as 3T MRI, PET-CT and 64-slice CT. Over the past several years, our department has built an excellent research track record in areas such as head and neck cancers, osteoporosis, liver diseases, breast cancer and functional MRI. Having a strong team of both clinical and basic science researchers working in our department, we are looking forward to further our research expertise and to expand our research capabilities in medical research.
